Chloride- Press Release LYNX

Chloride – a leading manufacturer of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems for industry – release LYNX, a new and significantly upgraded HMI touchscreen control panel.

As part of the businesses’ strategy of ongoing investment to achieve sustainable growth through innovative product development, Chloride has drawn upon over 70 years of industry expertise to create the next generation touchscreen enabled HMI control panel for their range of UPS systems.

Consulting closely with customers, the next generation control panel has been developed as a user centric solution that is aligned to the challenges operators face when managing UPS systems installed in industrial, safety critical environments.

Still the largest control panel in its class at 7.2”, the next generation display is twice the current resolution and features the latest capacitive touch technology, enabling it to be controlled with just a regular screen touch similar to market standard tablet experience.

The full colour User Interface has been redesigned with modern iconography and is based on recognised, best-practice UI methodology to improve performance visualisation and increase the accuracy of user interactions.

Following rigorous risk assessments, unauthorised access prevention protocols have been tightened with the removal of the front-facing USB access port, increasing customers’ data security.

VP of Global Marketing and Strategy, Elena Chernetsova, comments:

“We are pleased to be rolling out our next generation HMI touchscreen control panel across our range of industrial UPS systems.  This is a great improvement to our range; we can’t wait for our customers to see the clear and intuitive User Interface and start using the bright and sumptuous touchscreen.  We believe this will really help to make it easier for them to effectively monitor and manage their UPS systems – something that is essential to ensure the safety of people in environments where the continuity of power supply is critical.

Continued and significant investment in Research and Development is central to our long-term growth strategy and the next generation HMI touchscreen control panel is the latest in a series of exciting product upgrades we’ll be announcing over the coming months.”
