The origin of Chloride stretches back to the 1890s, with its roots in the design and production of batteries. With an interest in the power supply needs of heavy industry sectors, Chloride entered a new era, shifting to the manufacture and installation of mission-critical industrial UPS systems In its many years of evolution, Chloride acquired numerous other aligned businesses - French company AEES, Power & Electronic Services Limited in Ireland, and Siemens’ UK UPS service activities, to name just a few. These acquisitions over the years have given Chloride an exceptional pedigree in design and service excellence that is unrivaled in the UPS industry.
Following a series of acquisitions and rebranding, the company was brought out by the management team in 2021, and the company name, which has become Vertiv since 2016, was returned to the name of its birth Chloride.
